Originally from Riverdale, New York, Pascale began her academic art studies at the High School of Art and Design in Manhattan and majored in commercial art at the SUNY College of Farmingdale on Long Island. She has shown her work at several libraries on the North Shore of Long Island, Borders Book stores and special events for charity. One of Pascale’s dreams is to own and operate an art gallery that would offer inner city children and young adults a chance to exhibit their artwork.
Among her many works of art is a unique collection of black and white paintings reminiscent of ancestral spirit—images that tell a story. These works were derived from spontaneous doodles and were enlarged on canvass and paper (some as large as 30” x 24”). Once enlarged, the doodles seem to take on a life of their own.
Pascale’s colorful “Pastels” are vibrant and full of life. She describes them as being magical; while creating them they touch upon a happier and more peaceful place in time. Pascale describes her Pastel drawings as being little beacons of light; they represent the beauty and hope that can be found in life.
The quotes that you will find next to the illustrations in the gallery are inspirational and thought provoking. They serve to inspire and remind us of the seemingly small or overlooked happenstances of everyday life. |
